Set out on foot, cycle or e-bike towards Gamlitz and Leutschach, stop at a local winery or visit a traditional wine tavern — known here as a Buschenschank — along the South Styrian Wine Road.
How much you do is entirely up to you. Some days are made for exploring; others for a long afternoon on the terrace with a glass of wine and views across the vineyards.
Hiking around Wurzenberg
Quiet lanes and trails lead from the house through vineyards, orchards and small villages. A gentle walk to the next hilltop may be all you need. For a longer day out, the area around Gamlitz and Leutschach offers a wide choice of hiking trails and vineyard walks.

We are always happy to share our personal favourites — from wineries we enjoy visiting to taverns with particularly beautiful views. We can also help arrange a wine tasting; guests organise their own transport to and from the winery.

The panoramic sauna sits above the lodges, overlooking the rolling hills of South Styria.
It can be booked separately and is reserved exclusively for up to two guests. Not a large spa, but a quiet place for warmth, wide-open views and time together.
